To fully sand your unvarnished hardwood floor in the factory, our technicians use a machine that removes only a very thin layer of wood to remove scratched, stained or small dings. This sanding process creates almost no dust because the machine is connected to a vacuum cleaner. This method of sanding is advantageous for people with asthma or dust allergies.
After sanding, we can apply either a protective oil for wood floors or an ecological protective varnish with a matte, satin or semi-gloss finish.
If you wish to change your decor, we can apply a floor stain in the color of your choice before varnishing. This is the perfect opportunity to get the floor of your dreams! Several stain colors will be offered, reproducing the different species of traditional or exotic wood. You can even ask us to create a personalized color: just provide us with a sample of the desired color!
Because we care about our customers' satisfaction, our research and development department has designed an exclusive system for refreshing floors without sanding (called ECO-BUFF). This system restores all the original splendor of factory prefinished floors, which are covered with a protective layer against degradation by the sun's ultraviolet rays. This very hard protective layer is almost impossible to sand.
This refinishing treatment, offered at a fraction of the price of full sanding, can be performed on hardwood (solid ¾) floors as well as engineered and floating floors (which have a layer of wood on the surface that is far too thin to sand).
