Varnish / waterbase finish

A stain and a new finish that can remarkably enhance your old hardwood floors.

Applying waterbased finishes on hardwood floors

In Pointe-Claire but also in Kirkland, as well as in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and throughout the West Island, EXP SURFACES will come to sand your hardwood floor dust-free, then apply a finish (and stain, if desired) or apply hardwood floor oil. We also do prefinished floor refinishing (solid wood ¾, engineered).

What type of floor polishers are we using?

To refurbish your floor, we use Vermeister water-based floor finish. We choose extremely high-performance, resistant finishes that are safe for the environment and for your health:

  • Idro 2K Floor Finish: this two-component water-based finish gives your floors a natural hardwood effect, as well as homogeneity and cleanliness that can be compared to oil and/or wax. This highly abrasion and scrub resistant varnish is ideal in very high traffic areas (shops, institutional buildings, etc.) If applied directly, it restores the sheen of the wood without causing yellowing. This varnish has a low environmental impact.
  • Ezy Floor Finish: this two-component waterborne varnish provides excellent wear resistance performance. Available in 10, 30 and 60 gloss, it maintains the effect of natural wood thanks to its high transparency while ensuring a covering and filling capacity. This varnish is very resistant to abrasion and scratching. It is therefore recommended in high-traffic areas. It has a low environmental impact.
  • Zero Voc.Floor Finish: one-component waterborne finishing treatment containing no solvents, this varnish can be used as a one-component or as a two-component after the addition of Zero Voc Boost. Made with renewable raw materials, Zero Voc is ideal for ecological constructions and can be applied directly to wood, leaving the colour intact and giving it a very natural effect. Very ecological.

For commercial floors, we use UV resistant floor polishers, with superior wood adhesion providing protection against scratches and wear. High-traffic areas will be effectively protected and will keep their natural beauty over time.
